Hailing from the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, Makua “Makuakai” Rothman is a World champion big wave surfer and alt-reggae musician. After releasing his first EP ‘Makanale Road,’ Rothman topped the Billboard Reggae Album chart with his debut full-length album ‘Sound Wave.’ He has toured all over the US supporting artists such as Matisyahu, Common Kings, The Wailers, Steel Pulse, Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, and Donavon Frankenreiter. Recent singles “The One and Only” and “HOOKED” prelude a forthcoming sophomore album, along with numerous tour dates supporting Sublime, in 2024.
