PROHIBITED ITEMS & POLICIES

Below are prohibited items and policies as established by both Hulaween and the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. These guidelines have been created to ensure the safety of all guests, staff, and artists, and are intended to allow everyone to have fun together in a stress-free environment.

If you violate a policy listed below, you may be ejected from the festival without a refund, banned from the Park, and subject to criminal or civil processes.

Please read the following information carefully before arriving on site.

PROHIBITED ITEMS WITHIN THE PARK

The following items are not permitted anywhere within the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park.

  • Illegal drugs. The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is a drug-free venue
  • Pets of any kind
  • Weapons of any kind, including guns, knives, brass knuckles, billy clubs, stun guns
  • Imitation weapons of any kind, including toy guns, knives, swords, spears
  • Laser devices or pointers
  • Fireworks, luminaries / sky lanterns, explosives, or unsanctioned fire performance of any kind
  • Illegal items (including synthetic goods)
  • Unauthorized merchandise or vending
  • Bottles of pressurized gas of any kind
  • Spray paint, large markers, large bags of glitter
  • Threatening or obscene signs or apparel
  • Loose propane tanks of any kind. Attached RV propane tank is accepted if secured.
  • Drones, kites, or radio-controlled devices
  • Skateboards, hoverboards, segways, go carts, motorized one-wheel boards, unicycles, or motorized conveyances of any kind. All bicycles must be ridden by a single rider, must burn headlights and taillights from sunset to sunrise, and may not be ridden at excessive speed. No bicycles may be brought into any concert venue.

PROHIBITED ITEMS WITHIN THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS

The following items are not permitted anywhere within the festival grounds or concert areas.

  • Bags or containers that do not comply with the bag policy listed below
  • Bicycles
  • Coolers
  • Wagons or carts
  • Hammocks
  • Bullhorns, air horns, boomboxes, speakers, or other sound amplification devices
  • Professional-grade cameras with detachable lenses. Point-and-shoot cameras are permitted, however flash photography is not.
  • Commercial audio recording equipment, cameras, or video equipment
  • Glass containers or glass objects, except for eyeglasses or sunglasses
  • Tents, sunshades, umbrellas, or inflatable furniture of any kind
  • Marijuana smoking or vaping devices, even if you have a Florida-issued medical card. Smoking or vaping is not permitted within the festival grounds, concert areas, or other public spaces; please return to your campsite to smoke or vape.
  • Outside food or beverages. One (1) factory sealed water bottle, or empty, refillable water bottles up to one (1) gallon in size, will be permitted. Kleen Kanteens, recycled bottles, and hydration backpacks must be emptied before entering the festival grounds. There are hydration stations located throughout the festival grounds; please refer to the festival map.
  • Essential medically necessary items, such as oxygen tanks, must be pre-cleared by festival staff before entering the concert area. Please visit the Medical Tent, located near the General Store, for pre-clearance. All prescription drugs must be in the original prescription containers and the name on the container must match the guest’s government-issued photo ID.
  • Totems are only permitted behind the sound board at each stage. They must not exceed 10 feet in length. Poles must be made of light-weight material including foam or thin-walled PVC (no metal or wood). Totems shall not have sharp ends, or be swung around or used in a manner that might injure anyone nearby. Event staff has full discretion to prohibit a totem that is deemed hazardous or inappropriate at any time in the festival grounds or concert areas.

BAG POLICY

Hulaween and the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park have a clear bag policy. Our first priority is the safety of our guests, staff, and artists. Any bags brought into the festival grounds or concert areas must adhere to the following sizing.

If your bags meet the following size requirements below, they do not have to be clear. If your bags exceed the following size requirements, they must be made of clear PVC, plastic, or vinyl and the contents readily visible.

Fanny packs measuring up to 16.5in x 6.5in x 4in

Single pocket drawstring bags or hydration backpacks up to 13in x 13in x 15in

Fans are permitted to bring one (1) factory sealed water bottle, or empty, refillable water bottles up to one (1) gallon in size. Kleen Kanteens, recycled bottles, and hydration backpacks must be emptied before entering the festival grounds. There are hydration stations located throughout the festival grounds; please refer to the festival map.

All bags are subject to search upon entering the festival grounds or concert areas.

To ensure the safety of all guests, patrons, staff, artists, and vendors at Hulaween, each person entering the festival grounds or concert area will be required to pass through a metal detector before entering. If you are asked to step aside for further screening, we kindly ask that you cooperate with security staff to expedite entry for all patrons into the concert grounds.

THIS LIST IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE AT THE DISCRETION OF FESTIVAL MANAGEMENT OR PARK MANAGEMENT.

PARK POLICIES

All guests, patrons, staff, artists, and vendors at Hulaween are expected to adhere to the following policies. We kindly ask for your cooperation to ensure an enjoyable experience for all during the festival.

Failure to comply with these policies will result in ejection from the festival grounds and the Park as a whole. In addition, you may be permanently banned from the Park, and subject to criminal or civil processes.

  • Wristbands must be worn at all times. They cannot be transferred to another person. If you lose your wristband, you must come to the Box Office for a replacement wristband and pay a $25 fee. Any wristband tampered with is considered void, and you may be denied entry into the venue. Any patron in the Park without a wristband will be ejected immediately.
  • No vehicle re-entry will be permitted beginning Tuesday 10/24 at 8am ET.
  • Chairs will be permitted inside the festival grounds within marked areas. These locations include at the Meadow and Hallows stages behind the soundboards, at the Amphitheater, and at designated areas at other stages.
  • Costumes are welcomed and encouraged, but you must remove your mask or helmet upon entering, and these items will be subject to search.
  • No unauthorized vending of goods or services, or distribution of any items or literature.
  • Essential medically necessary items, such as oxygen tanks, must be pre-cleared by festival staff before entering the concert area. Please visit the Medical Tent, located near the General Store, for pre-clearance. All prescription drugs must be in the original prescription containers and the name on the container must match the guest’s government-issued photo ID.
  • Only Florida-issued medical marijuana patient identification cards and prescriptions are allowed at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the festival grounds, concert areas, or other public spaces. Please return back to your campsite to smoke or vape, and do not smoke or vape near children.
  • No disorderly, vulgar, or abusive conduct or speech. Be kind to your neighbor. Unruly patrons will be escorted off the property with no refund, and are subject to arrest.
  • Please do not litter! Trash cans and recycle bins will be located extensively throughout the Park and the festival grounds. Please extinguish and dispose of your cigarette butts properly. If you pack it in, pack it out!
  • Please do not cut or damage the trees and other plants within the Park. Do not place nails, staples, screws, or fasteners of any kind into trees. We ask you to please remove all string, rope, or twine from trees when you clean up your camp.
  • No campfires. As of Tuesday 10/17, campfires are not permitted in the Park due to Fire Danger. Should Park management decide to lift the ban, then campfires must be attended at all times.
  • No commercial photography, audio recording, or videotaping. Point-and-shoot cameras are permitted, however flash photography is not.
  • You must be 21+ to consume alcohol. One (1) case of beer and one (1) box of wine per person will be permitted into the Park and your camping area.
  • You must be 18+ to use tobacco products of any kind.
  • All persons under the age of 18 must be constantly supervised by their parent, legal guardian, or other competent persons authorized by a person who has lawful custody of said minor. Please do not leave children unattended at any time.
  • This is a drug-free venue. Drug users are subject to arrest.
  • All guests must sign a Warning Notice, Assumption of Risk, Release, Hold Harmless and Waiver of Liability Form to be present in the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Guests who do not fill out a waiver and who come into the Park are subject to trespass and ejection from the Park. A parent or legal guardian must complete a form for each minor who enters the Park.
  • If you are a person with a disability who requires a service dog, a mobility assistance device, or other device, please contact Hulaween’s ADA coordinator at [email protected], and stop by the ADA Service Hub upon arrival. Such guests will be issued an ADA wristband that will allow access for the guest and a companion to various services, such as the ADA viewing areas in the festival grounds.

HULAWEEN STAFF AND PARK STAFF HOLD THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY TO ANY AND ALL PATRONS WHO ARE NOT COMPLIANT TO THE EVENT AND VENUE POLICIES.

Failure to comply with these policies will result in ejection from the festival grounds and the Park as whole. In addition, you may be permanently banned from the Park.

ALL PATRONS, BAGS, AND VEHICLES ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH AT ANY TIME WHILE AT THE PARK.

Any and all confiscated items, or any items voluntarily surrendered, will not be held, checked, or returned.

If you do not wish to surrender a prohibited item or contraband, you may immediately surrender your wristband and other credentials and be escorted out of the Park with no refund. After the festival ends, you must contact the Park to make arrangements to remove your tent and other personal belonging. Neither the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park or Hulaween are responsible for safe keeping any such items, and you leave them solely at your own risk.

WE ASK FOR YOU TO STAY SAFE, ACT RESPONSIBLY, AND BE MINDFUL OF THE SAFETY OF ALL GUESTS, STAFF, AND ARTISTS AT THE FESTIVAL.

All guests are encouraged to wear hearing protection during amplified performances, stay hydrated, get adequate rest, eat well, and to not engage in risky or foolish behavior.

Look out for one another, and offer to help someone who looks like they are in trouble.

IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING!

Report any issues or concerns to law enforcement, EMT / Fire, t-shirt security, or festival staff. If you’re calling for medical assistance for another guest, remember to stay with the person until help arrives.

In case of an emergency, call 911.
